About Thick and Thin
The expression Thick & Thin, usually means, “pushing through all forms of obstacles that are put in one’s way.” All my life, I manufactured obstacles and created roadblocks that prevented me from losing weight and getting fit – “I don’t have time. I’m too tired. Work is too demanding. I like me the way I am.”
At 37 and at a fighting weight of 220 lbs, I suddenly woke up. I motivated myself to move… to conquer my fear of failure and to fight the battle to live better and happier. I have lived Thick. I have lived Thin.
This blog was created for all of us at the start, middle of, or currently living a healthy lifestyle. In sharing our experiences, challenges and successes, I hope we can inspire and motivate each other to dodge the daily curveballs. It’s a reminder to never give up because if you expect something of yourself, you can achieve it.
Together, I believe that we can achieve and maintain our personal goals – whether it is to lose that last ten pounds or to start the journey towards a total self-transformation. And when life gets in the way, we will be there to help push each other along.
